The Japanese word play (the difference in usage between “koi” and “koi”) may be a little difficult for foreigners. In Japanese, there are many word plays that have the same pronunciation but different meanings are quite common. Because English has fewer such word plays, it is difficult to convey the full cultural nuance, isn't it? Come Spring, Come Love, I thought this would express the image of both a new season and love coming into our lives with the arrival of spring. “Come Spring, Come Love — A play on words where ‘come’ represents both the arrival of the season and the feeling of love coming into our lives”. In my work “Spring, Come Love - I”, a single butterfly sadly takes flight. Its lonely flapping of wings symbolizes the pining feeling we feel while waiting for the arrival of spring. In this work, the part II, the story continues from part I. Two butterflies meet, and together they rise up into the air, hinting at the beginning of hope and love. I continue to wait for spring, and believe in the moment when I will meet that person. My own feelings are layered on top of the butterflies' fluttering wings. The moment when the two butterflies, who have finally met after overcoming their loneliness, welcome the spring that I have continued to wait for. The work is imbued with the desire to meet someone special.
