Bio

Istanbul based artist and designer Naz Yologlu creates emotional art and collectible sculptural pieces that reflect diverse cultural relics, stories and different states of being through a common contemporary ground. Turkish artist, after graduating from Lycee Français Pierre Loti, she obtained her bachelor’s degree from Central Saint Martins College, London, where she studied Architecture, after which she opened her studio in 2015 and continues to work under the name NAAZ since 2018. After showing her own work in different platforms such as Ventura Futur during Milan Design Week and Collectible Fair in Brussels, a fair for XXI Century art and design, she has been selected for Metamorphosis group exhibition during 2019 summer and autumn at Galerie Scene Ouverte Paris and later she was presented in Design Miami in a group exhibition in Miami and at Elgiz Museum in Istanbul. Currently Naz continues to work as an artist for many international galleries.

Passionately inspired by my environment, my work is focused on the meaning and sense of belonging of spaces and objects. Coexisting between two continents, merged layers of various cultures and experiences; like my background, my sculptured pieces reflect different states of being and offer an emotional element through form and texture that stimulate the senses.
Whether it’s the story about cosmos, nature or mythology; all these sensations metamorphose into different forms, texture and objects: a combination of different elements that coexist together: organic yet geometric, bold yet permeable, light yet rich, subtle yet sophisticated. Each individual piece is a continuous dialogue with its surroundings through its sculptural form and materiality, embracing the qualities of lightness and timelessness.
