Bio

"Through my art I try to convey how precious life itself is with all its facets, namely: every hour, every minute and every second."

I was born in Russia and I live and work in south Germany. I teach German and give yoga and qigong courses. From an early age I observed artists painting and since then the fascination for “color" never let me go. Due to family and work, I put my passion in the background. In 2013 I became seriously ill and it did not look so good for me but I still had so many dreams... I re-membered the saying of the author Vivian Greene: "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning how to dance in the rain." I was determined to fulfill my dream of painting. I started painting and forgot everything around me, the colors and the canvas were suddenly my best friends. I defeated the disease and since then painting has become the center of my life. I realize abstract paintings mostly with acrylics but I experiment a lot with different techniques. Yoga and Qigong have a significant influence on the themes of my paintings: you can find the concepts of "letting go", mindfulness and listening to your gut, finding happiness within yourself and enjoying the moment. I am inspired by life itself, especially by the encounters with people. My connection with nature comes in the pictures with mixed techniques, sometimes fine, sometimes rough. Painting for me is a spiritual journey, the most beautiful thing is that you let the colors speak.
