I have observed and examined paintings as long I can remember. I made two Master thesis on history of art, later I defended a doctorate on an interdisciplinary topic including art. I love old classics but I also admire technology savvy contemporary artists.
As a painter I paint intuitively striving for anything. There is only fabric, colour and moment of free-dom. I sink and forget while I paint. I cannot compare painting to anything else I do, not even writing fiction.
It took courage to declare myself visual artist, because prejudices arise: can CEO and adjunct professor also make art? Key lessons in oil painting I learned in the ateljé of an artist while living in France 2006-2007.
I paint because I love to wander to different horizons. Since 2 years I have participated exhibitions. This has opened up a new kind of dialogue with familiar and unknown. When people talk about art they often talk about themselves. Art is permissive.
The world is full of constraints and formalities. Let art be free and innocent.
