Born in Tokyo in 1967. Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting at Joshibi University of Art and Design in 1989.

For six years starting in 1989, she studied under the lacquer artist Katsushige Tanaka, honing her skills in the traditional art of Urushi (lacquer).

While managing her salon, "Kao Seitai Aoyama," she currently creates mixed-media works using a variety of materials, including lacquer, acrylics, resin, and foil. Her work explores themes such as the mysteries of the human body and soul, the cycle of life and death, and the awe of nature.
