MariX is a self-taught Spanish (Madrid) abstract painter. Her art helps mariX to deal with her anxiety and, in recent years, abstract painting has been a kind of renaissance for her. She has exhibited most recently at:

In addition, from March to June, she will take part in a travelling exhibition at several municipalities from Madrid Region (Spain). MariX is influenced by European Informalism and American Abstract Expressionism. Lately, she is also marked by Urban and Pop Art. Alive artists that she likes are Luis Gordillo (Spain), Tomory Dodge (USA) or Julie Mehretu (Etiophia). She mainly uses acrylic and spray painting and other mixed media such as: sand, newspaper or cord. Sometimes, her works contain powerful sentences that indicate concerns and artist’s personality. mariX plays with a wide variety of styles, none of their pieces are the same.
