Tomoko Tezuka is an artist born in Japan in 1974. Since she discovered botany painting last year, she has been using natural materials to express landscapes that she has accumulated in her mind. She loves cats and frogs (her friends) and she lives by the lake with her tolerant husband and a cat to talk to.
Her artworks are in touch with nature in her daily life, and express her emotional landscapes and the state of her mind through natural materials. Tomoko mainly uses lotus leaves and leaves of Indian linden trees, she colors them to bring out the three-dimensionality of their shapes and veins. Their aim is to fuse botanical materials and natural phenomena.
