I am a storyteller. As a filmmaker I have learnt to handle pictures. However, the stories I work with are not always my own. They have been created by many different people. That is why I started painting. With every canvas I can tell my own personal story. I start a journey and hope, I can take the viewer with me.
At the beginning of every painting there is a general, rough idea. I create intuitively and follow my flow. With every thin layer, every single color, every new structure a story can slowly develop and take its final form.
Every picture is a lesson, a challenge, and my way to perfection.
“Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.”
