Hideki Gerry Yasui became interested in machines when he was 15 years old and studied mechanical engineering in high school and college. Also from this period he was particularly influenced by Hokusai Katsushika, Tiziano, Raffaello Sanzio, and Luigi Vanvitelli. 1992-2015 He worked as an engineer for Japan Airlines and started creating wood cut-lery in 2011 and then moved to Hawaii in 2015. He is based on the Oahu, Hawai'i driving his beloved Volkswagen bus and creating Arts inspired by the ocean.

Statement
The ocean. It is a place of enjoyment and appreciation for me. It is my playground, my source of inspiration, and an important place to think and make decisions. Ocean is a place that represents Aloha to me.
