Bio

I started drawing when I was 4 or 5 years old, and when I was a kid, I spent time drawing comics. When I was in high school, I immersed myself in painting and writing. During college I studied two semesters at the Istituto Lorenzo de Medici in Florence, Italy. Back in the US I took several art classes, but eventually majored in English Literature and Writing. Although growing up my favorite medium was drawing, now it is painting; oils for realism, and acrylic for abstract and fantasy. I do commission work tailored to specific requests, while also continuing to paint my own visions. Many of the pieces are inspired by poems or stories I’ve written. What I love most about creating visual art is that it puts you in a meditative state where you forget your stresses, and at times much of your identity. You become freer, feeling connected to a source of wonderful energy, inspiration and dreams. One of the main reasons I will always create art is to provide reflections and to open windows, so people can perceive the magic of this world, and gaze into the vistas of mystery within as well as beyond.
