Leo Mateus (he/they) is a transgender and queer illustrator based in Northern England. He be-gan creating art around trans and queer bodies after seeing a lack of representation of the community in the media. Using a traditional cross hatching drawing technique on a modern day tablet, Leo highlights the classical beauty of today’s people in a style made popular in the fif-teenth century.
