I am Laura Chan, I currently reside in Villahermosa, Tabasco in Mexico, I paint since 2000, self-taught in some techniques, I paused for a few years, but I return formally in 2019, experimenting with abstract art, as a reflection during the pandemic about my life and my true interests and passion. I am inspired by the joy of being alive, my revolution and inner evolution and my femininity, I capture my essence as something that overflows irrepressible and inevitable, having the opportunity every new day to reinvent myself and start over on a blank canvas or paper. My work I describe then as spontaneous, fluid, cheerful, with combinations of textures, vibrant and neutral colors in which I express my emotions and flow in the strokes freely according to what my soul feels, this being a window where I ex-press the most intimate of my being and a mirror where the viewer can equally flow and feel with the same freedom.
