Bio
I like the contrast of bold lines mixed with a wild exploration of colours. To work with a precision marker one second and to later go over to a free form with the spray can and paint, on the same piece of art. Layer onto layer. My paintings emerge without any specific plans and without sketching in advance. I usually draw with some spontaneous, big moves and then take a step back to see if I can decipher something from it. Usually, I see an animal. Very often a bird. Sometimes there are a lot of different things and I just make them go together. I let go of my mind and I guess you can say that it is a dialogue between the hand and the subconscious. Automatism. When the imagination is free to roam, there is no right or wrong; I don't get annoyed if I accidentally drop the painting or if a fly takes a walk before the paint is dry. It fills a purpose to the art in some way in the end. Hi, I'm Mad.
The paintings can be seen at Galleri Zeitgeist in Uppsala, Sweden.
