Artistic Statement.
For a long time, I created original-faced bisque dolls.
After encountering wood carving, I began making wooden dolls and have continued ever since. I am truly happy that I have finally reached a point where I can express myself freely.
My approach to creation is to constantly engage in a dialogue with the wood. I carve by following the forms that seem to emerge from within it, so I can never fully predict what will be born until the work is complete.
My greatest joy is to resonate and connect with those who view my work, creating a sense of shared emotion and understanding.
