I utilize my personal vision of daily life interconnected with my experiences as a female artist to create my works. I investigate the various meanings ascribed to life that are visual in nature, involving patterns that interplay with various forms. As an artist I use my greater awareness to find pieces of life’s mysterious puzzle. I then organize my perceptions to connect each piece to form a broader image of reality. I am able to notice the nuances of what may seem to be mundane, which become important for revealing our human nature. The “interiority” of a person is defined as one’s inner thought, feelings, reactions, and in-ner struggles. As an artist, I question how we access them. As well as how I can express the interiority of a person through painting which is a visual display of one's exterior. While discovering how to explore the notion of interiority through paint, I aspire to assimi-late techniques and practices by great artists who came before me. My works form a dia-logue with art history and our current daily life.
