Bio

I create fabric panels using a combination of Bengara dyeing, knitting and embroidery.

Bengara dye is a dye that comes from the earth.

The main ingredient of Bengara dye is iron oxide and the colors of it are soft and deep.

The dye is environmentally friendly as it does not cause any harm when poured into the soil.

The theme of my work is "small creatures connecting the big world," using microorgan-isms such as slime mold and diatoms as motifs.

I pay attention to the balance between dyeing, knitting, and embroidery, and try to make them complement each other.

In this work, I imagine the world in the soil, which is circulated by microorganisms.
