Bio

Andrea Kainer “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” (Pablo Picasso) Andrea Kainer, born in 1987 in Schwaz in Tyrol (Austria), lives and works as a full-time secondary school teacher in the district of Schwaz. As an art teacher she is trying to impart her enthusiasm for painting to her students and thus give them an understanding of the wonderful world of creativity in which there are no limits to fantasy. At an early age Andrea Kainer developed a great fascination with colors, which is reflected in her often vividly colored, vibrant and lively artworks. She loves being creative and experimenting with various media. Her favorite work technique is acrylic painting, as this gives her paintings the color intensity desired. Whereas she used to be enthusiastic about landscapes and figurative painting for years, she is nowadays enthralled by composing colors, contrasts, lines and geometrical forms. Since 2017 she has been focusing on mixed media techniques with textures and the so-called “fluid painting” often in combination with synthetic resin. Her work is based on intuition, emotion, energy and total devotion to the creative process. By allowing her feelings and ideas full bent and letting go of all cognitive processes, she loses all sense of time and space in order to digest the “dust of everyday life” and thus puts herself into a meditative state of mind. Andrea Kainer invites the viewers of her paintings to open themselves to her works of art and then to immerse themselves in their very own world of experience of them. She believes that when contemplating her works, the inner emotional world is a reaction to the energy that emanates from the piece of art, part of the same energy that flows through her in the creative process. Ideally, the composition arouses emotions in the viewers that capture their imagination. “Painting is so much more than a hobby to me… It is my greatest passion, my love, my life.”
