Bio

Alexandru Popa Alexandru Popa is a fine artist and iconographer from Romania, member of The Religious Fine Arts and Restoration Branch Association (AFAPRR) of the Union of Visual Artists (UAP), Romania. Due to his passion for exploring figurative art and also Christian and mythological traditions, he likes to combine the mystic, religious motifs, mostly of the Last Judgment, in a contemporary way, where he reproduces those feelings through strong chromatics. In his career, he took part in exhibitions in Romania, where at some of them he was part of the organizational and curatorial team. Alexandru will take part in the next edition of Florence Biennale, which will be held from 23rd to 31st October 2021 at Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy. The artist has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from The University of Art and Design from Cluj Napoca, Romania and a Master's Degree in Creative Strategies in Painting from The National University of Arts in Bucharest, Romania. He is also a Graduate of the Initial and the Second Psycho-Pedagogical Training Program.
