BIO
PATRICK MOLES, LE PAISIBLE.
The spiritual world of colours

Patrick Moles is a special soul. He is one of those people who both intrigue and soothe you. Moved by his simple and quiet inner beauty, I immediately wanted to ask him about his story and soak up his serenity to decode his talent.

Patrick, you are a self-taught artist and a humanist. How did you start your career?

After a business school education, I joined the cultural company FNAC, the one of the beginning, an interesting and innovative concept. I stayed there for 25 years, during which time I worked as an entity manager in France and Europe. It was a great experience on a human level to manage men and women, tailor-made for me who likes human relations above all. I think I have successfully achieved my objective, that of creating balance and harmony between performance, benevolence and respect for others.

At the end of these years, a new path in life opened up for me, the development of a spiritual
bookshop in Paris. It was an enriching journey that taught me a lot about myself and
broadened my view of others. I discovered spirituality, this "state of being" which allows me
to listen, understand, transmit and experience emotions.

It was this very heightened emotional state that naturally led you to art, and more precisely to painting??

To tell you the truth, this took shape when I started doing holistic coaching for companies, on the theme of customer relations. Again, a very beautiful life experience. The colours took place in my being, it's as if they had settled in me, like a whisper, insidiously, to live in me permanently.

I think that's when you have a wonderful encounter?

Exactly, an exquisite moment. I met Corinne, an extraordinary woman, who became my wife. By chance ? No, surely not, because chance does not exist. With her I fly away, I have the impression of breathing, of vibrating, of living on several dimensions.

And then you are suddenly invaded by a powerful, almost supernatural creative force. How did it manifest itself? How did you come to painting?

I felt guided, indeed, by an unknown force.
I started to paint a few "things", as I still say today. My first big painting was a lot of work, and even a lot of trouble. I named it "Louis", on the advice of my muse. Very quickly, the work was sold through a friend, who became my first ambassador

The pictorial world I was creating turned out to be a world of colours, the spiritual world of colours. I discovered that this translation was the logical continuation of my humanist and spiritual journey. A real revelation!

Indeed, you are an artist of colour. You transcend colour, your canvases radiate with colour, they are most often joyful, festive and pregnant.

I learned the symbolism of colours as well as their uses and techniques, and my mastery became easier and more precise. As I often repeat, it is not me who paints but this inner force which inhabits me, and which is of course an integral part of my being.
This "double personality" is, all in all, fertile, I feel it creates shared happiness. Corinne is very often present during my creations, her presence and the vision she has of my work feed my inspiration.

Is this what gives you the serenity and peace that emanates so strongly from you?

I certainly do. These moments are salutary because they give me the necessary strength to go deep inside myself, to extract and materialize the best. I think I can say that my style has matured, my paintings are now more personal, more accomplished.

Patrick, a quote that is dear to you, and in which you recognise yourself... ?

Without hesitation, this sentence by V. Kandinsky: "The more spiritually evolved a man is, the more accessible his soul is. Only the artist who knows the power of colour can directly reach the soul of the viewer.

Thank you for this initiatory journey into the heart of colour. It is a real gift for the soul.

Infos Patrick Moles ART TARGET

His first job was based on human relations and the management of people.
His goal was to create harmony between performance and respect for others.

His world is linked to spirituality, this state of being which allows us to understand ourselves, to pass on emotions, to live with them.
Its translation in these paintings is a logical continuation of its humanist course.
These pictorial achievements are a part of him, spiritual and joyful.
His universe is the spiritual world of colours.

His work consists in exploring our time through instantaneous mixtures of colours,
He appreciates and knows the symbolism of colours, he uses a lot of blue for its harmony and calm, gold for excellence, red for energy, black for its absence of light and also for the mystery maintained.

As he says himself: "it is not him who paints, he is inhabited at the time of the realization, he can start again several times the same painting, erase all and start again. "
At times, he stops, his wife arrives, his soul mate, she leaves without saying anything or expressing an opinion, then she leaves.
There, "he decides" to continue or to stop. Then, according to his state of being, the realization is finalized and thus the canvas is finished.

He likes Kandinsky and this quote:
"The more spiritually evolved a man is, the more accessible his soul is. Only the artist who knows the power of colours can directly reach the soul of the viewer.
