Bio

When I paint art, I believe my role is to be a conduit for the energy and messages from the uni-verse by becoming nothingness.

Artist & Therapist

Healer by nature, descended from a family of Shinto priests and priestesses
Receives inspiration and revelation from the universe,
She draws energy art and spiritual art as sacred.
She teaches Mandala Pastel Art workshops in Osaka.

Biography
Real name: Ikue Sakano
Born in Hirakata City, Osaka, Japan in 1972.
Raised in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture, her father's hometown, during her childhood.
Because of her experience of wandering between life and death at birth, her mother's birthplace being a shrine, and her grandmother (on her father's side) being a believer in Buddhism, she be-came a child who was conscious of her connection to the universe, divinity, and human life and death.
After returning to Osaka and graduating from the University of Economics, he lived as an office worker.
In 2015, she gets cervical cancer and loses her uterus.
Given the chance to live again, she ends her life as a company employee, awakening to the full-ness of the rest of her life, her connection to the universe, and her divinity.
2018 Encounters mandala pastel art, inherits the technique and becomes a teacher.
2019: Started her own business, Sora~kuu~. Started full-fledged activities as an artist and therapist.
The name "Kuu" comes from the concept of emptiness in Buddhism.

What started as mandala pastel art has now become ikue's unique world of expression and art that transcends the concept of mandala pastel art.
ikue's art connects you to the core of your life, gently stimulating purification and transformation.
