Ivana Marton is a self-taught abstract artist based in Slovakia. She was born in 1984. She graduated with PhD degree on the Slovak University of technology in 2014. After few years of working for various companies, she went on maternity leave with two children where she discovered her passion for art as a kind of relax and escaping from the reality.
She experiments with a different type of materials. Her paintings incorporate strong tex-tures, mostly in neutral colours, combined with golden or metallic tones. She likes to work with a wide range of mediums, including acrylics, marble dust, lime mass, pigments, spray paints, synthetic resin etc.
The composition are usually created spontaneously and intuitively. Usage of colors, tex-tures and form is an expression of her current state of mind.
