Bio

Alicia Zemanek Alicia Zemanek is born in 1963 in the UK and comes from a family with multiple origins (Czech father & French /Venetian/ Ottoman mother). She lived part of her life in Montreal, Canada and then Luxembourg. Her time is now spent between Luxembourg and the Florida Keys. Alicia is a self-taught artist who since very young was attracted to Art but decided to pursue a career in Banking and graduated with a MBA. In 2015, she renewed with her passion: oil painting and had her 1st exhibition in April 2019 in Luxembourg on the theme “Carré de soie” influenced by the silk scarves of the prestigious house Hermes. She collaborates today with several art galleries and digital art platforms and more recently collaborated with Van Gogh Art Gallery in Madrid. Her style is influenced by her Mediterranean origins which is very flamboyant using Moorish accents and her passion for the sea. The technique is a mix of the Old Masters glazing methods which brings depth to the colours combined with modern expressionism.
