Muriel and she creates under the pseudonym 'Kalopsyana' from Kalopsia: the illusion that things are more beautiful than they are. Muriel is a self-taught artist passionate about the arts since her childhood. She acquired her know how by exploring artistic, mixed-media and artisan-al techniques from various horizons, multicultural, from several creative and historical move-ments such as painting in all these forms, drawings (having an attraction for faces and human bodies), sculpture, clay, wood, cellular concrete and also papier mâché, the assembly of various recycled materials such as: plastic objects and bags, cardboard boxes, paper, egg boxes, food packaging, stoppers, straws, fabrics, wools, felt, jewelry, children's toys, old second-hand ob-jects. A bit of an alchemist, she likes to play with these materials while trying to invent or rein-vent new processes. She uses natural products (tea, coffee, vegetable peel, sands, crushed stones, plants, tree branches, roots, trunk, leaves, pinecones...). She likes to mix products: paints, cements, concrete, sands, plaster. With what she finds, she creates mix-media installa-tions, so that her works are visible on different facets (We can turn around and discover hidden secrets, this makes people curious). She also does artistic journals, painting on canvas or on wood, pyrography as well as objects, jewelry with many materials that she assembles either by sewing, or with glue, nails, screws according to her desires. All her works have a hidden mean-ing. She likes the idea that people find (or not) the CODE of her Work by making their own DEFINITION. She highlights work by staging her works. Her computer graphics training on software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver) allowed her to master this sense of the images. She recently decided to make Video Editing and Music, to bring another dimension to her art. She designs the sounds for create her strange music. Her little laboratory is filled with little Treasures that shape her imagination and her madness. She tells herself stories to invent her world filled with oppositions. She will take advantage of the opening of her channel to bring her works to life through videos that she will realize and share.
