It leans toward figurative impressionism with a soul nurturing twist and typically includes mixed media: collage, gold foil, sprays, along with a finish of rich traditional oils.

A big part of what sources Barbara McCarroll’s art is travel where she passionately discovers rich diversity of life. She then takes these treasured experiences and translates them into bright juicy colors fusing it along with dreams which she believes are a beautiful foretelling of God’s destiny. Educated and residing in California until she was in her 30s , Barbara then moved to New York City for several years before relocating west again to the desert of Arizona where completion of her fine art studies occurred at MAI (Milan Art Institute). The artist now resides with her hus-band, Ron near Atlanta, Georgia and enjoys creating magical artwork in her at-home studio. A love of discovering family heritage often leads Barbara to Greece providing even more inspira-tion with its beautiful seas, people and vistas.
