Bio

The mountains, the sky, the trees; growing up on a farm in British Columbia my relationship to art is from nature, and nature is the heart of all my inspiration. I was raised by my grandparents and received my first camera from my grandfather when I was five. He taught me how to see with a camera. Because I am hearing impaired this helped me relate to the world. Eventually, I left home to attend university and met an Italian girl and fell in love. I followed her to Italy where I discovered she was engaged to another. This coincided with the pandemic which started a new journey for me.

My photographs reflect memoires of my childhood; life is full of hope and endless potential. I show this through bold and brave colours. sculpting shapes out of light. The natural forms of trees and flow-ers represent the tension of order and chaos all around us. The story I want to tell is how to live in a world full of paradoxes.
