Luís Alberto Campos Cardoso da Silva Vieira Artistic name: Luís Silva (Gija) Born in N'Dalatando Cuanza Norte Angola, he is a self-taught painter. He arrived in Portugal in 1975, where his parents are from. At age 12, he began to study music following the guitar and piano instruments. Early on, he began to be interested in Art in general and later in Abstract Art in particular through abstract exprecionism. He started his art studies in 1984/85. He started with charcoal drawing following oil painting on canvas. Above all, he learned shading techniques and various geometric shapes. He kept in touch with some Portuguese painters where he held some exhibitions. Later, only in 2015 did he become interested in abstractionism.
