Bio

Bego Goyeneche, a Mexican visual artist, is known for her realistic and colourful watercolour paintings inspired in humankind and nature. Bego began her painting journey early in life and has since then studied in several art centers and taken courses including a summer at the National Academy of Art in New York. She currently works full-time as a professional artist in her studio which she built in her home in Mexico City. The artist’s work has evolved to a realistic collage-inspired technique that goes from finding inspiration, to digital sketching, and finally giving life to it with watercolour. Bego’s many exhibitions include two solo shows in the years 2016 and 2021 and also some collective such as ones held at the National Watercolour Museum Guati Rojo in Mexico City and at the Holy Art Gallery in London. Through her attention to detail and bright color palette, this artist has found her own life metaphors and connection with nature, and hopes that the spectator can cultivate a visual experience and reflexion about life as well.
