I am a UK based artist who works in the medium of colour pencil, The relationship between the material and subject matter of this piece is a soft representation of a somewhat sinister scene. Where the coloured pencil acts as an innocent invitation to explore a space which otherwise would repeal the viewer. Drawing has allowed me to document my new surroundings and escape from them when I have needed to. I am drawn to the abandoned, disused, and forgotten places around our planet, focusing on spaces that once served a function or have remnants of human life long gone. I am using present day dilapidated architecture as a mirror to reflect my thoughts of possible futures, where the seemingly immovable surrounding of everyday life could end up in similar circumstances.
