Bio
Maria Susarenko is a talented artist and a proud member of both the Russian Artist's Union and the International Federation of Artists (IFA). She holds two master’s degrees in the field of art, both earned from the prestigious Stieglitz St. Petersburg State Academy of Art and Industry. Maria's creative journey is deeply influenced by her love for travel and architecture, two key sources of inspiration for her artistic practice. Additionally, she draws inspiration from women, which she incorporates into her works. Her medium of choice includes graphic markers, ballpoint pens, acrylic, and tempera paints. Maria’s architectural paintings are akin to a visual journey around the world—through her expressive style, she captures the essence of the places she has visited or plans to explore. She also creates series of paintings that fuse classical and contemporary styles, offering a unique artistic perspective. Maria hopes that viewers can feel the positive energy she infuses into each of her pieces.

2024: Silver Medal in the “Graphics” nomination
She was thrilled to be awarded the Silver Medal for her work in the Graphics category during the prestigious “Artworks of the Year 2023” exhibition.
2023: Winner in the “Professional Graphics” category
Maria was honored with a diploma for her professional achievements in graphics during the art competition “Cultural Heritage of the Stonemason Samson Suchanov,” organized by Colourslife Art Gallery with the support of the Academy of Arts.
2023: Gold Medal for “Artwork of the Year”
Her piece “Colosseum” won the Gold Medal in the Graphics category at the “Artwork of the Year” exhibition, a recognition bestowed by art curators from the Russian State Museum, Academy of Art, and Erarta Contemporary Art Museum.
2022: Silver Medal in the “Graphics” nomination
Maria received a Silver Medal for her graphic artwork at the IFA’s prestigious “Artworks of the Year” exhibition.
2021: Diploma in “Graphics”
She was awarded a diploma in the “Graphics” category for her outstanding work during the “Artwork of the Year” competition, an honor given by the Hermitage and State Russian Museum commissions.
2019: Gold Medal for “Artwork of the Year”
Her painting “Brooklyn Bridge” earned her the Gold Medal at the “Artwork of the Year” competition in Saint Petersburg.
2019: Winner's Certificate for the “ALL Cityscape Theme” Competition
Maria’s artwork “LondonEye” won a Best Shown Award during the “ALL Cityscape Theme” competition, a delightful surprise in her artistic journey.
