Bio

“My vision as an artist focuses on the preservation of the emotional. I portray women as the sole owners of their reality, my works escape from conventionalism and break taboos with explicit images. My works are a latent history that tells of various battles won throughout life. They show the result of self-created experience and the ability to rein-vent oneself with strength, determination and conviction, to overcome obstacles along the way. I am a self-taught painter, have participated in several art fairs and markets (2016-present) and have exhibited a painting in the gallery NAVAS Y NAVAS (Bogotá 2015). I had the opportunity to give private lessons to groups to make crafts with diverse methods (i.e. acrylic and ink painting, transfer technique) and materials such as canvas or wood (2016-2017). I had my own restaurant and gallery (ANAID, 2016-2019) where I provided work for single mothers and offered opportunities for emerging artists to showcase their work. The works exhibited included paintings, sculptures, music, poetry, theater, and illustration. In parallel, I gave private painting classes (2018-2019).”
