Bio

Mark Daingan Chua is a self taught artist whose inspiration emerges from the hues of life. He increasingly takes risks and uses an interplay of bold colours to convey his message, beside the canon of the mainstream art world. He finds solace in painting what his eyes envision and what his heart is enamoured of. Originally from Cotabato City, he lived an ultra secluded young life because of the chaos that he grew up with. Albeit the solitary tales in his young life, this isolation has deliberately propelled him to find his creativity from within. In contrast, he expresses his editorials about life through a splurge of colours.
Notwithstanding his little education in theory of the arts, he has already sold a myriad of artworks to various key cities in the Philippines including Manila, Cebu and Davao. Further, he has numerous masterpieces sold abroad as well, including Guangzhou China, Washington State, USA and New York City, USA. He is also the First Prize Winner for the Colours For Peace 2019 Competition.
In his masterpieces, he fondly employs a plethora of materials, to let each one shine in its own way. Most of his artworks have incorporated a wide array of components— acrylic, enamel, cast and unconventional secret ingredients— as well as the use of tools such as torch, industrial blower, sandpaper, palette knife, scraps of metal cans, beverage cups and wood craft sticks to let the pigments glide. His artworks are made from a melange of elements, creating a vibrant story and colourful intentions — an exhibition of tones which best accentuates his feats. He believes that in a world of grim realities, a juxtaposition of hues can always colour the world brighter.
