“This is the first floor of my grandfather's house. On the left, there is a staircase leading to the second floor. I depict the wall around the staircase on the first floor but don't include the slope of the stairs leading to the ground floor. This is mainly because the space is too small, and the stairs going to the ground floor are blocked by those leading to the second floor. Therefore, I merge the back staircase, wall, and floor into one entity. The yellow door frame and blue window frame on the right lead to the same space. Originally, according to my concept, the same space should be represented by the same colour. However, here I deliberately use different colours to depict the same space, aiming to make people wonder whether it is actually the same space or not. The red part is a door with a toilet inside, and next to it is another space, but it is blocked by the yellow and blue space in front.”
