Carlie Williams lives in Seattle, Washington, USA and began painting there during the height of the pandemic. She had never painted before but was given an old block of Arches watercolor paper and decided to try. Immediately, it was as if a gate was thrown open and an untamed natural ability came pouring out. Painting seemed to magically ease her anxieties, her chronic pain, her loneliness, and brought the truest joy into her life. She is self-taught and works in wa-tercolor and acrylics with subject matter including nature scenes, portraits, abstracts, and more. She accidentally unlocked a gift that brought her back to herself and opened up a whole new ca-reer and life of passion.
