I was nine years old when I painted this painting. It was an elementary school project, and I remember it was the first time everyone praised me for it. It was this painting that made me fall in love with painting. At the time, I did not give this painting a title, but now, at the age of 22, I have given it the title “Ambivalence. When I was 9 years old, I painted paint-ings without thinking. When I look at this painting again, I feel myself struggling in the midst of nothingness. I want to express in my paintings what is inside the human mind. I used watercolors, a wire mesh, and a toothbrush to draw fine particles, and marbles rolled over them to draw lines.
And I interpreted this painting as the title says!
But some people may feel it is a different expression.
How do you feel when you see this painting?
