The Human Grail
Inspiration: In a deep meditative state I could see a painting that was to be called “The Human Grail”. This Grail represents the true Holy Grail that is each of us. The sacred tem-ple that is our body when we let the Divine move through us in a dance of yellows and gold.
Technique: I started “The Human Grail” by first bathing the canvas in acrylic Titanium White - covering it with long strokes of my brush.
Adding acrylic paint and alcohol ink in variations of yellows, greens, reds, and gold, and using my brush and a palette knife, I moved the paint around. Once the canvas was dry, I drew the shapes that I wanted with an oil pen, and implemented the metal gold leaf using the glue, and brushed it away.
