Description: The artist carefully observed the sea, trying to perceiving its "sways" and changes, not to make it a simple story visual, but to bring out its deep soul, which is reflected in that of man and vice versa ("The absolute immobility of the sea attracts me, which however is constantly moving"). His desire was to capture what was in perpetual motion, to reproduce it in something static.
