Christine Rechnitzer
Painter
Bio
Christine Rechnitzer, Austrian Artist of figurative and non-figurative art, born in 1968 in Vienna. Ever since she was a child she loved to paint and draw and enjoyed artistic expression in diffe-rent forms. Later the focus turned to fashion design. After receiving a diploma in Marketing and Human Resource Management, spending more than 20 years in Pharmaceutical Industry and In-ternational Retail, the creative road led her back to interior design. Creativity has been her companion throughout life. Her innate desire to paint returned in 2020 and has been cultivated ever since. Her work is both figurative and non-figurative, grouped in categories such as Faces, ARTwords, Abstracts and Landscapes. Not much of her life has been spent in art school. Like many artists, she considers herself self-taught. However, Friedensreich Hundertwasser once in-vited her to join his masterclass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. Being his guest for her was a most enjoyable experience.
Artist Statement:
It is exciting to have a blank canvas in front of me. The challenge is to come up with imagery from within that will please and excite others. My inspiration comes from the beauty of nature, people, music, and emotional experiences which translate into colors, shapes and textures.
