Silvia Privitera Petino was born in Catania in 1972. She grew up in a family of distinguished university professors, she graduated in Education Sciences. Art is present in her life in different forms, in fact she publishes three novels. She began painting as a self-taught only in 2021, specializing in portrait painting. She paints in oil on canvas without the refinement of hyperrealism. She loves to see color melt on the canvas and create three-dimensional parts with the material effect of plaster, trying to convey to the observer a more interesting experience of the painting. She has participated with her artworks in exhibitions in various galleries in Milan, Rome and Venice.
