Aisling Holian Lawlor Aisling Holian Lawlor is an Irish artist living and working in Galway, in the West of Ireland. With a background in Design, Aisling graduated at the top of her class with an honours degree in Production Design and Art Direction from Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology. Aisling also holds a H.Dip. in Industrial Design from Carlow Institute of Technology. “My paintings are personal reflections on a moment in time and interpretations on memories past and present; they are always an evolving process. When I start a new project I usually let my mood dictate the direction of the painting along with the medium I use.” Her work is an interpretation and exploration of everyday life, society and culture, oscillating between the intensely personal to the quotidian to the exceptional. Over the years Aisling’s means of expression have been interchangeable, working also in the media of performance, film, animation, drawing, sculpture and installations.
