Afflicted with wanderlust, Ian moved around the world as a child, then joined the military, lived on a mule-
driven wagon train in Tee-Pees mentoring youth delinquents, sailed professionally on a Whit-bread Race boat, scouted for movies, ran tech start-ups and worked in Real Estate. Besides moving, the one constant in Ian’s life has always been a passion for photography.
Moving to Italy to be closer to his wife’s widowed father during the pandemic gave Ian a unique opportunity to experience and fall in love with Italy as she suffered and sacrificed under Covid. The “Covid Frescoes - Siena” series is a unique time capsule reminiscent of aged Italian frescoes buried or painted over by new images.
