Fotis Kaimas I am Fotis, a self-taught painter, born and grown up in Athens, Greece. Started painting from a young age, I realized the power and the importance of art in life. When the pace of daily life is so fast, you may lose yourself trying to catch everything, trying to fight against time. At this point, painting is a source of salvation to prove that there is a way to escape by making art. For me, painting is an inner journey of self-research and at the same time an outward expression, a voice to the world. Abstract painting, especially, expresses me better, as I feel that in this way I paint my feelings on canvas, I can let myself free like the splash of the various colors and the irregular shapes. Simultaneously, the observers can freely choose their own way to approach my artwork. Mostly, I use acrylic and I am keen on experimenting with new techniques and materials.
