B Love Art is all about expressing and sharing Light, Love and Positive Energy. My work is modern and contemporary, a blend of East meets West. My vibe is positive and seeks to be uplifting and inspirational. Even though I have experienced tragic events, the darkness I’ve seen has motivated me to express my feelings through art which I hope is a bright shining light for all to see and experience.

My style has many influences, including music. I’ve been painting since my early childhood. My grandmother was an artist, painter and musician. My mother was also a painter and musician. Both have influenced my art. As a drummer and percussionist, rhythm, tempo and dynamic range are concepts which I think about in each piece.

While studying in Japan, I studied art, woodblock printing, and a style of calligraphy called Shodo. This is when I started to develop my personal style of brush strokes. While in Asia, I also traveled extensively as a student of Buddhism which has influenced my art.

B Love Art is edgy and bold, sometimes soft and muted. It all depends upon the story. To capture the essence of the story in my work, I think of each brushstroke as a word or feeling. Sometimes a single brushstroke can speak loudly like an exclamation point! Other times, the entire piece can float softly like a suggestion, hint or whisper in your ear. I hope my work translates into something that touches you and inspires a reaction.
