Art is no decoration: By using bright colours, fiercly looking faces staring out of painted frames, Austrian artist Tim Gotschim creates his special artistry. He steps up against art that is nowadays abused as decorative accessory only, as he says. This is why art is no longer what it is supposed to be. Tim collects his frames at flea markets and paints them in bright colours. The skulls in them are expressions of his rebellious mind against art seen as decoration. He says: „Art does not fit into frames. Its sole purpose is to inspire us!“. Tim Gotschim is 21 years old and has already had two exhibitions in St.Pölten, nearby Vienna.
