Bio

Eri Kiwa Born in 1991 in Toyama, Japan, with an art education from the University of Mie in 2014, Eri Kiwa explores the intricate connection of body and soul through her art. After serving as an elementary school teacher, Kiwa started to produce mainly acrylic paintings in 2015. The base of artwork, there is a female image by line drawing and the abstraction by layers of colours. It is derived from the human body and soul. She has accepted her body, which was born as a woman, she shows to see other people through herself when she meets them. The form, of the outside that we can look, the form of inside that we cannot look, when these are accurate, we will match accord. When these are not accurate, we will separate. To be accurate means, to be honest.
