Nino Galo was born in Concepción, Chile, in 1994. She was raised in Antofagasta, north of the country, where at a young age she developed an interest in drawing which led her to go to the capital to study visual arts and to choose painting in her second year of university.
In 2016, Nino Galo moved to Barcelona for six months to study at Universitad de Barcelona, where her work started to develop more personal and interior themes. Graduated from Universidad de Chile in 2020 as a professional painter, the artist focused herself in the analysis of the artistic deformation of human body, breaking the common aesthetic of beauty and the canons imposed for it.
Lately, she had implemented more graphic elements that complement the characters that live in her paintings. Nowadays, the result of Nino Galo’s imaginary is what we know, and as she like to call it “the aesthetic of the break’’.
