Rafaella Rougier is a French-American artist and social justice advocate with an active studio
in Europe. As a non-binary, neurodivergent creator, Rafaella’s abstract art is strongly influenced by their experience of synesthesia, a neurological condition in which a person can “hear” colors and “see” sounds. Each painting goes through several iterations with countless layers of pigment, lines and shapes… layered, erased and reshaped to form works of art that vibrate with life. Themes explored include Rafaella’s love of science, faith, identity and hope against all odds.
