Pirre Janette Viljanen is from Finland and she uses Janette – her middle name – as her artist name. Janette is a self-taught, 45 years old artist, who has loved painting and drawing ever since she could hold a pen.
Since 2020 she has painted more intensely and at the same time discovered the therapeutic feel-ing of painting.
Above all, she is inspired by intuitive painting and drawing. Her art is born in the present mo-ment.
With her wood artisan husband, they share a passion for arts and crafts.
Another passion is to use recycled materials as much as possible.
They started their own company Vilhelm & Janette in 2019 and they use only reclaimed wood in their artworks.
Janette started to paint on reclaimed pallet wood and found out how beautifully all the
colors and different layers adapted to it.
The paintings she makes are guided by the following principles:
Intuitively: Each artwork is always its own, unique creation. They get their final shape, color and essence in the present moment of the making process.
Ecologically: She uses only reclaimed wood, mostly pallet wood that otherwise would end up as energy waste.
With Heart: She always gives a small piece of herself to each product.
