Lindsey and Jordan are a couple of artists, partners in life and art.
Lindsey Ferguson is an American visual artist, writer, and musician. Having spent most of her life focusing on music and performance, unearthing a childhood love for painting has been a joy! After she finished her Masters program at New York University in the spring of 2020, she moved to Los Angeles, California to live and create art with her fiancé Jordan Plotner. Ignited by a curiosity towards her own sensuality, and drawn to the vibrant colors and unexpected textures and forms of the neighborhood flora and fauna, she began painting a series of rich, satiny pieces. Of the series, she feels that “Self Portrait in Oil” and “Petals” best represent her personal connection to bodies, nature, and that ethereal connection that can only be expressed through art. For “Mantelpiece,” Jordan and Lindsey painted together, an intimate landscape of their shared way of seeing life in all of its exquisite beauty and motion.
Jordan Plotner is a British/American Artist and graduate of Yale University. He lives in Los Angeles, painting, writing poetry, composing and performing music with his fiancée, bandmate, and muse, Lindsey Ferguson. While recovering from spinal fusion surgery, related to the chronic illness Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, he began painting. Emerging (quite literally) from within, all of his paintings relate to his post-surgery spine, some acting as maps of pain, some expressing the absence of feeling, and others still undeciphered.
