Cindy Y. Lam is an emerging artist based in Toronto, Canada. Being the eldest child of immigrant parents’, she was discouraged from pursuing art as a career. For many years, she painted and studied at local art schools and galleries to keep creativity in her life. After travelling down a variety of career paths, and with the encouragement of her husband who saw the joy painting brought her (she is most happy when covered in paint), Cindy finally found the courage to rebel (decades later!) to pursue art full time. Painting has brought joy, calm and daily reflection to her life, and hopes her paintings evoke and inspire these same feelings and reflection, whichever might be pertinent to the viewer at that moment in time.
