Bio
As Wittgenstein once said of Language, "The limits of my language mean the limits of my world." Perhaps too the limits of art are also in part guided by language, at least algorithmically speaking, how we talk about art, how we envision the things that may be created artistically, these things are having their limits tested by the advancements of computer-generated media and the tools now being made available to the artist to bring his or her imaginations toward a visual realization. I am a procedural graphic artist making use of algorithms and neural Networks to see what these limits might be and to see what I may imagine into being as a result of exploring the spaces where they exist. Central to this exploration are the spaces between and beyond concepts, where thoughts run like water forming pools or rivers, meandering where they will. Making art with Neural Networks and Algorithms allows the artist more fluidity in their conceptualization of an image, but also, the ocean of information which goes into building something from scratch using natural language prompts, is as deep as the human imagination.
